Born in 1986 on the 29th April, I (The Chemist as seen above) came into the world just like the rest of y'all; crying, screaming and @ some point probably thinking, 'Damn, I hope I'm not an ugly baby'.
Anyway, fast forward to the present-day and I feel i'm a 24 (goin on 25, quarter century baby!) year old who's damn near gone through it all. Ok, yes I haven't passed through intense adversity, gone through hell and back...and hell and back again; So what if mine isn't a story of struggle, rags & riches? So what if I was raised with comfort and security (and then having my parents later turn to me and saying, 'u know what, u were spoilt as a child')...Still, I've gone through it all i tell you! I'm talking about not having my homework done on time, missing a weekly episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air or The Cosby Show, or God forbid, BOTH! I'm talking about puppy lurrrrve, which I sucked at (I mean, how can one combine the lyrics of 90s R.Kelly, Blackstreet and Boyz 2 Men & STILL not get the girl?!?!!), always being stuck in the 'friend-zone' & bein that shoulder 2 cry on for the ladies (sometimes ladies, my shoulders ached very much & I could've done with the massage that you gave your ex right before y'all split!).
...So, like I said, I've been through some s***. But that was then & this is now. & now, I'm a 24 year old, university educated (yes, i know from reading this it mite be hard to believe), young professional working in the Marketing & Advertising industry, with a little blogging thrown in their too.
You've seen the intro so u know what to expect on the blog and if u haven't, kindly refer to the intro for that info. I'm socially conscious brotha i.e. conscicous of the fact that i like to be social. My people, my music, my sports & ent, my music, my people, my drinks, my music, my clubbin, my people etc are generally what I'm about. & from time to time, I like to know what's happening locally and internationally; politics, social engagements and all that azz, i mean jazz.
& oh, why do i call myself The Chemist I sense your asking yourself? Well, in actual fact I don't. Its a title that was bestowed upon me due to my uncanny but natural ability to make the most potent of cocktails taste like a cold, crisp glass of orange juice on the hottest of days!
