Fresh Out The Lab!

Back once again, I AMMMMMMMMM! And just like i said last week, I'm counting down the top 10 gadgets for the year 11'. And so without further ado, lets continue...

The Blackberry Playbook

Research In Motion’s BackBerry Playbook is set to escort the company into the tablet market in or around the first quarter of 2011. The tablet supports Flash 10.1 and HTML 5, has a 7-inch screen, HDMI support, dual (front and back-facing) HD cameras, 1 GB of RAM and a 1 GHz dual-core processor.

The Chemist says: Alright tech guru's, time to get excited! Can someone say, Ipad who?? Well, not quite, but you see what I'm saying

Keep checking back for more tech highlights coming to you in 11'!

Hot damn!! It's been toooo long since I graced this page; My apologies folks!! And now that I've got that out of the way on this Monday 21st March....

Te-te-te-te-TECHNOLOGY!
As we all know, science and tech be moving faster than Usain Bolt and a cheetah combined. Today it's the Ipad2 tomorrow it's the Ipad2.0 or 3 or 10. So, to make matters a lil easier (and to 'stay ahead of the game') I'll be running down the 'best' tech gadgets to look forward to (supposedly) in 2011! Starting with...

Microsoft's Comfort Mouse 6000
What is it about companies producing gadgets and adding some crazy figure in the gadget name for emphasis?? Nevertheless, at a size of 3" x 5" and designed for right-handed folk (poleni left-handers), the Comfort 3000 has 5 customizable buttons for 'utility'. Also, the 'detent scroll wheel' is supposedly 'effortless' and is built for 'optimal accuracy'

It still has a wire, which some folks may like, looks round about the same as any other mouse, and from the above info provided by Microsoft, it pretty much is. And oh, it goes for $29. One more thing, it also has Microsofts Blue Track Technology which makes the 6000 more user friendly than other mice (the Comfort 5999 maybe) on a variety of surfaces.

That's all for now folks but like Senator (or is it Ex Senator) Arnie or Tanesco power cuts, I'll be back!

I'm talkin music, I'm talkin movies; I'm talkin fashion trendz, I'm talking the latest in tech. If you wanna know what the latest crazes are, this is the spot!

Here's what we got for you this time...

Sinema:
What's playing rite now in our cinemas is:

  • Little Fockers - This 2nd sequel to Meet The Parents is apparently 'focked up!' (had to be done). It's pretty self explanatory from the title, the fockers' have kids and are finding parenting hard. Yep, from friends reviews (who in my opinion matter more than critics) the laughs are few and far between and the joke's wearing thin. Probably best not even to buy a bootleg dvd but downright download & bootleg it yourself!
  • Life As We Know It - Does anyone else think Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhammel are missing something in the romance department? That's gotta be the reason why they are doing all these Romcoms (ok, so they've done 2 or 3 others but thats 2 or 3 in a row!). Luckily, this one isn't bad. It tells the story of their respective characters being left to raise their best friends' baby, who were a couple but passed away in a car trash. Oh, both K & J's characters dislike eachother but their best friends thought they'd make a great couple. Hmmm, see where this one is going. Its a bit of an iffy story, but the characters & actors are likeable enough to get through the film. Plus, it does have its funny parts. This one you can buy on bootleg DVD
  • RED - Apparently, Bruce Willis, Hellen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich are retired, extremely dangerous ex-CIA agents  a.k.a RED. Sounds somewhat ridiculous, yes? Well, so good are these actors (and is the film) that they'll have you believing it (especially Hellen Mirren, DO NOT mess with her). But yes, this one's about Bruce, who's being framed for an assassination and to clear his name, he enlists the help of his former partners in kicking ass Hellen, Morgan & John. The wit and style of the film will have you surprised as will the comedy. Gotta hit the cinema for this!
  • THE MECHANIC - Jason Statham's back & he's breaking people again. This one has brit playing top level assassin, best of the best (like the type of people the US probably use) whose mentor's killed. So, what to do? Hunt the motherhumpers down! Having not seen it, I'm taking a close friend's word when he simply said, 'Go see it'. Sounds like an enjoyable action ride with J.S @ the wheel, who's an action star in his own right. Aint seen it, but I've got to & if it's not at the cinema, then I'll have to get me some surround sound.
  • Burlesque - Small town girl with a big voice (Xtina) moves to L.A to follow her dreams of become a singer. She enters the Burlesque Lounge, lands a job there thanks to the owner and headlining act (Cher) and embarks on her journey to stardom. U've heard it before, u've seen it before but that shouldn't dissuade you from seeing it. I haven't seen the trailer, only read the reviews and in short, Xtina should remain a singer and Cher, off screen, for now anyway. I'll probably watch this though (I's a sucker for a musically themed film. I watched Mama Mia for crying out loud, and liked it). As for this, download or dvd it seems, its a toss-up between the two.
One to lookout for: Black Swan. Ever heard of a psychological thriller based on a ballet production?? You have now! But dont judge, watch it and try to tell me it sucks.

Eargasm Zone:
Here's what's popping and locking on the international musica scene...

Pop
Lady Gaga is the billboard chart's 1000th No1. with her latest song, Born This Way (her parents must be so proud). Yep, the modern-day Madonna, meat-dress wearing, hatchin-out-of-an-egg-at-the-grammys star's latest has blazed the charts. Its dance-pop with a 'Fireworks' by Katy Perry theme. As much some of you wont want to, you'll probably find yourself boppin your head to this. For all you dance-pop lovers, its bliss; For the rest, it's most likely a piece of piss. Anyway, this one is coming to a Runway near you, if it hasn't already.

Speaking of Katy Perry, her track 'Fireworks' is still going strong on the charts. Other songs that be doing the biz are...
  • Black & Yellow - Wiz Khalifa
  • Grenade - Bruno Mars
  • Fuck You Forget You - Cee Lo Green
  • S&M - Rihanna
  • F***in Perfect - Pink
  • Tonight (I'm F***in You) - Enrique Iglesias feat Ludacris
  • Hold It Against Me - Brittany Spears (with a full head of hair)
  • Hit The Lights - Jay Sean feat Lil Wayne (Down part 2??)
  • More - Usher
  • Coming Home - Diddy Dirty Money
  • No Hands - Waka Flocka Flame feat Wale and Roscoe Dash (gotta love that 'Waka Floka' name)
  • Look At Me Now - Chris Brown feat Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes (Yes, Busta's still with us)
  • Higher - Taio Cruz feat Travie McCoy (think 'Dynamite' with a rapper)
  • No Bs - Chris Brown
  • Pass Out - Tinie Tempah
  • All Of The Lights - Kanye West feat a whole bunch of folks
  • Whats My Name - Rihanna feat Drake
Apparently, there's a Gadhafi Remix to Black & Yellow. It goes a lil sumthin like...
"Yeah! Uh huh, u know who I is. Every time I kill, I do it big.
Yeah! Uh huh, thats a fact. All u protesters, kiss my ball sac.
I'm in down-town Tri-po-li, where they all scream, there's the Colonel, there's colonel, theres the
  colonel, there's the colonel
Said I'm in, Tri-po-li, where they all scream, there's the colonel, there's the colonel, there's the colonel,
  there's the colonel."

& on that note....

Keep checking back for more! Next up's the album and trendz focus!
